Yukon River Quest

The Yukon River Quest is one of the most spectacular paddling races in the world. Participants take off from Whitehorse and paddle the 740 km (460mi) to reach Dawson City in marathon time, usually within 48 hours. Cheer on the teams as they leave Whitehorse or arrive in Dawson.

Winter Solstice Run

Athletics Yukon is hosting the annual Grey Mountain Winter Solstice Run/Walk on Saturday to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Length approximately 12km. The run starts at ten o'clock in the morning. It follows the Grey Mountain Road past the rifle range and before the Northwestel Road. Participants meet at the upper parking lot where you will see race organizers. There is no fee but people are asked to donate non-perishable food items for the Whitehorse Food Bank.
