Wildlife Viewing

Yukon government’s Wildlife Viewing Program provides you with the opportunity to learn more about Yukon’s wildlife.  Pick up free booklets and brochures at Visitor Information Centres and rest stops across the territory, or download the PDFs directly from their website.  Using the program’s flagship publication, Yukon’s Wildlife Viewing Guide, plan your Yukon trip to maximize your chances of seeing wildlife.

Enhance your Yukon experience by attending one of the Wildlife Viewing Program’s free interpretive walks and talks.  These events are offered throughout the year and give you a chance to meet Yukon biologists and experts who study and manage our wildlife. With small audiences and lots to see, these walks can be the best time to ask questions directly to the experts. Some programs require advance registration, but all are free and everyone is welcome. Check out the calendar of events at www.env.gov.yk.ca/events for availability.  Events are listed April 1st and June 1st for the year.
