Spring comes to the Yukon with longer days, warmer weather, blue skies and melting snow. After a long winter, signs of spring are welcomed. One of the most anticipated portents of spring is the arrival of swans. Swans, as well as other waterbirds, arrive in the Yukon in April each year.ambien for sale
M’Clintock Bay on Marsh Lake has first open water in the region and hosts a variety of waterbirds. The shallow water and access to food make it an essential stop for swans on their way to nesting grounds in the north.
Swan Haven Interpretation Centre, on the shore of M’Clintock Bay, opens every spring with a viewing platform, interpretive panels, activities and a trail along the shore to watch the birds. Remember to bring boots if you want to take the trail.
