Welcome to the traditional territory of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation.
Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre offers visitors the opportunity to discover the history and culture of the first people of the Klondike.

every day so our knowledgeable staff will be happy to answer all of your questions.
Our Gift Shop carries the largest selection of hand-made beaded footwear in Dawson and a wide variety of northern and First Nation inspired gifts. Many of our products and artists are exclusive to our shop. This is the gift shop you have been looking for.
Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre is open in the summer season and winter season by appointment. Our tickets
are valid for two day admission... come and go as you like to fit your busy Dawson schedule. Please check in at the Visitor centre or on our Facebook page for current hours of operation.
Come to know our vibrant First Nation. Our story will be one you will always remember.
Midnight Dome!
No trip to Dawson is complete without capturing a photograph of yourself atop the Midnight Dome. Drive or hike to this incredible vantage point and take in a panoramic view of the region. Marvel in the beauty of the Yukon River and Klondike Valleys, and spy on the Ogilvie Mountain Range in the distance.
Driving Here:
Just outside of town, turn onto the
Dome Road. Follow the winding road for approximately 10-15 minutes, which will bring you right to the top. Access to the viewpoint may be restricted due to weather and conditions.
Hiking Here:
Find the (unmarked) trailhead off of the Ninth Avenue Trail and King Street. There are several ways to climb the mountain, ranging from moderate to difficult, so
plan your trip accordingly. Decide your access point using this map or by speaking to one of the friendly staff at the Visitor Information Centre.
The total elevation gain is approximately 1700 feet and the round-trip distance is somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 miles, depending on your starting point.
   ORCHID ACRES
After crossing the river on the ferry, follow the Top of the World Hwy for 3.7 km. Turn left on the Sunnydale Road. Follow the road for 1.3 km until it widens on the right for parking. The trail entrance is on the left.
This unique area is home to thousands of Spotted Lady’s-slipper orchids which bloom in early June. An interpretive trail leads you around the patches of orchids describing wildlife of the region. Two viewing platforms look out over the Yukon and Klondike rivers, with panels about the history of the area. Take only pictures and leave the flowers for all to enjoy.
