STOP, LOOK, LEAVE.
When driving the Yukon’s highways it’s best to pass wildlife at a safe speed,
but if the temptation to have a quick peek is too strong, remember to:
STOP only in places with good sight lines and pull well
over. Respect the safety of other motorists by
keeping the traffic clear.
LOOK from inside your car. Animals can react suddenly
and become aggressive. Keep yourself safe by
staying in your vehicle.
LEAVE within one minute, for the safety of the animal.
Wildlife that become too comfortable with humans
and vehicles are at risk of collisions. Be respectful
and move on quickly.
