RVing and the Yukon are a match made in heaven, with pleasant drives,
beautiful views and exciting places to go. There are many excellent
campgrounds on your doorstep in the Whitehorse area. Further outside of the
city, there are sites that accommodate RV’s and have a more rustic setting.
Fox Lake and Kusawa Lake are both very popular with locals as they have
tremendous views, comfortable and accessible sites. You can take advantage of
the natural amenities, so hiking, fishing, swimming, stand-up paddleboarding,
kayaking, canoeing is all available. At the same time, nautical lovers will enjoy
launching a boat out on the lake.
Within reach of Whitehorse are the towns of Atlin, Carcross, Carmacks, Haines
Junction and Teslin, which all boast excellent opportunities for RV’s. If you are
brave enough to get up early in the morning, you can reach Dawson City or the
Tombstone region within a day and sample the delights these places offer.
